Today a mother said goodbye to her son...siblings said goodbye to a brother; children said goodbye to an uncle who was only 39 years. old.
Death is a very mysterious thing. The range of emotions that one experiences as you watch life ebb is hard to describe. Where moments before life had been, now it is gone, never to return. Odd...so very odd.
Never again will we see him at Christmas, or Thanksgiving, or on his birthday...though we expect to see him walk through the door at any moment. He was too young, too vibrant, to full of life to be gone. But he is...yet we feel like we are dreaming. It just doesn't seem real or possible.
Yet in all this we have hope. Because a savior paid the penalty of sin and death...and death has no dominion over us any longer.
