Saturday with Ladybird

Nothing deep in this post, save the water.

My bride and I left the northern kingdom of  Round Rock  and headed into downtown Austin to help a dear friend celebrate her birthday.

The plan was to rent a kayak or canoe at the concession in Zilker Park, do a little paddling, and have a picnic thereafter.

It was a bit odd spending time on a body of water sans flyrod, but with the exception of the flotilla-jam at Barton Springs, it was a blissful canoe ride with my best friend.
